DataSlapper is a gallery of animated data visualizations. The idea is to show a dataset in motion, list where it came from and how it was prepared, and leave the interpretation to the viewer.

The first pieces pair a macro series with bitcoin's market cap in a line-and-sphere format. More subjects and more formats follow.

The site is built and maintained by a Texas-based energy markets professional with a couple of decades in electricity brokerage and a long-running habit of building models to understand markets. Every piece is made from open data and is a single self-contained file you can embed anywhere.
